Chapter 13 Kshetra-Kshetrajna Vibhaga Yoga Verse 28

Samam sarveshu bhooteshu tishthantam parameshwaram;
Vinashyatswavinashyantam yah pashyati sa pashyati.
He sees, who sees the Supreme Lord, existing equally in all beings,
the unperishing within the perishing.

Interpretation

After talking about the knowledge of the field and the knower of the field and their importance in beings coming into existence, Lord Krishna in this shloka dwells about a different aspect connected to Him. Talking about the person who can perceive the Paramatma or Supreme soul, Lord Krishna says that he who sees God existing in all beings equally, and he who sees Him in everything will be able to understand paramatma. There is another point also he makes. He says that not only the person has to see Lord in all beings he also must see Lord as an imperishable being. Imperishable here means birthless, decayless and deathless.

Extending Interpretation to Mankind’s Life!

There is one point in this shloka that we must all understand. That is God is one supreme beings who is seated in all of us. It is very important to understand the presence of God in every being and also all the beings in God. We have talked about it before. There is this form of God which is eternal and ever-green. The birth of every being happens inside that being of God. That puts an element of God in every being that we see. The biggest task is to see that element of God and understand how it exists in different beings. People are good as well as bad, so how is it possible for a person to be bad if God exists in him? This and many questions we will be looking for answers from Lord Krishna in the coming shlokas.
