India’s Top 70 Indians – 16th to 21st. #IndiaAt70

I am not sure who is unlucky today. Wanted to share something very current but things didn’t pave out for that. Never the less today let’s look at my #IndiaAt70 series. Till now I have ranked till 22ndth Indian and the top 20 is nearing. Below is the list of the great people who are my top 21 to 16.

  1. MS Swaminathan: MS Swaminathan is that name which every Indian farmer knows by Heart. He is the one who has brought a revolution that has changed the face of Agriculture in the country and that is the Green Revolution. He is called as the Indian Father of Green Revolution for his excellent work towards development of high yield varieties of seeds. He was listed in top magazine top rankings. MS Swaminathan is also the Chairman of MS Swaminathan Research Foundation. His great works in the field of agriculture also gave him the name of “The father of Economic Ecology.

  3. PV Narasimha Rao: PV Narsimha Rao the former Prime Minister of India the LPG bearer for the country. The 10th Prime Minister of the country is not any politician but one such leader who is the reason so much of economic development in the country. His outstanding reforms and policies were the best and exemplary. Biggest of them being the Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization. The Father of Indian Economic Reforms is also a great orator and was able to commute in 17 Indian languages.
  4. Yash Chopra: The All rounder of the Bollywood. Yash Chopra is the biggest Director and Producer that Indians will ever see. Movies that he made created huge success and saw the making of careers for hundreds of actors. Star Maker is also a nickname that can be added to him for bring out the best in Amitabh Bachan and Shah Rukh Khan The biggest hits of his include the ever-green films like Chandni, Silsila, Veer Zaara and so on! Popularly known as the ‘King of Romance’ for his continuous hit romantic films spanning over a five-decades, he completely redefined drama and romance.
  5. Satyajit Ray: Yet another film maker! India is all about Art. If Yash Chopra is the King of Romance, then Satyajit Ray is of different genre that is arts and literature. He is not just a film maker but also a writer, author, publisher, calligrapher and music composer. His first movie Pather Panchali itself won him so many accolades and international awards.
  6. Ratan Tata: Ratan Tata is one of the leading Indian business men the former Chairman of the largest Indian conglomerate-Tata. Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group which controls companies Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Tata Consultancy Services, Indian Hotels and Tata Teleservices. The Major difference between him and any other business leaders in the country is the strong ethics.

He gives back his than half of wealth in the group of companies to charitable trusts. Through his ideas and positive outlook, he continues to serve as a mentor and guide for his Tata even after retirement.
